the morning after
hey there and thanks for popping in today!
the morning after a class is always such a surreal time for me.
i walk into the studio, look around,
at first i only see the mess
(although this class was my least messiest to date)
i see the curtains drawn from the nighttime reflections,
the paint i put down in my journal to show a certain technique
and this morning, i smell the one left over chocolate chip cookie sitting on the table.
then something magical happens, i hear the voices of my guests.
their chatter, their laughter, their little bantering they do with me.
then, there are those moments when they watch in amazement
as their very own piece of art comes to life.
it's magic and THAT is so very special to me.
i wish you many special moment in your life when you are able to simply listen.
Hi, Michelle! You have a great looking blog! Love your banner :o) Being surrounded by art supplies in the middle of a mad creating session is the happiest place to be on earth for me, too. Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThat's such a nice thought... how wonderful to feel the mood even after the art friends are gone.
ReplyDeleteHi Michelle,
ReplyDeleteYou have a beautiful heart and are sharing your amazing gift of art with the people around you! I wish I could fly up to NH and take classes with you.
Love your post,
your Flying pal,
Helena
Very friendly, Michelle! Loved your sharing about what the class means to you! It would be helpful to get and recieve feedback on our sites. I am thinking about teaching or hosting some teachers/students(small groups) in my heated portion of the RedBarn. Any good ideas to start out with?

Hi Michelle, I so wish I could come and take your class. I've never taken a live class, only online classes. I have had a few requests to teach a class locally. I would like to but don't know where to begin. Where did you get info on teaching classes or did you just work it out by trial and error. xx Jo
ReplyDeleteHad a great time last night! I think I have looked at my art and could not believe I created that! Thank you for contacting me and reviving my creative spirit! ---Me :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great time! I'll take that cookie! LOL
ReplyDeleteWow, Michelle. You forgot to mention all the love that flowed through the room. Because knowing you, and the comments I've read - the love meter was topping out! So wish I could have joined you.
ReplyDeleteMany Blessings, my friend
I so wish I lived closer. Sigh oh and I'm drooling over the space. My craftroom is so narrow, no way to get a large table in there :-(.
ReplyDeletePS: I'm signed up for Lifebook 2013, woohoo.
I can so relate to your story Michelle! I feel the same way after class but it's totally worth it...TFS!!!!
