hey there and thanks for popping in today!
i am a having a blast and feel as though i'm in this whirlwind groove.
i'm stealing little snippets of time in between nana's and kayla's naps
and life routines to get my paintbrushes out.
*note to self*
make the paintbrushes a routine.
last week i told you about all the courses
i've not yet started, half started,
and almost complete.
oh and then i knew there were some i had forgotten about.
not sure why none of my friends smacked me around a bit and reminded me but
HOLY SMOKES!
this is one of Tam Laporte's free classes that she GIVES AWAY.
this girl.....mmmmmmm....
(wish i knew how to spell all the sounds i'm making with my fake southern accent
because you would laugh at this northerner speaking that way
and understand how smitten i am with her!
you just HAVE to check it out and her site is simply A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.
anyway, here's my 4th girl. just started her and i'm still on the first video!
gosh, i am still in shock that my pencil sketched her attached to
MY little 'ole hand and with my own little head.
THEN, i actually did shading with color which let me tell you,
was freakin' S.C.A.R.Y.Y.Y.Y.Y.Y.Y.
if you do nothing else after you leave me an encouraging note
<hint, hint>,
plEEEEase, check out the willowing blog because it is filled with so much happiness.
you will not be disappointed!
hope you have a wonderful day.
i'm off to steal more moments with paintbrush in hand!
oh yeah, what color shall i make her hair?

I love it...I am trying the course too..I have done one drawing...hope to try coloring her in later this week...
ReplyDeleteWow! love your shading. Your are so talented, sweetie. I'm checking out the links now. Creative Blessings!
ReplyDeleteWow, impressed with the drawing and shading. Guess i am going to have to get over my online video dislike and do this soon. Thanks for sharing. kim
ReplyDeleteoohhh looks awesome. And the shading looks great. I've worked myself up to actually liking my face sketches (in pencil) but I'm terrified of coloring them....lol.
ReplyDeleteI was really scared too Micki about the color part but just like with the SheArt Girls, your portrait really comes to life and evolves with color. Can;t wait to see them!
DeleteYou go girl...hats off for stepping out there and doing it! June Maddox
